Nassau is where the world famous Atlantis Resort is situated in the heart of the Bahamas. The resort resides on a small island adjacent to Nassau and boasts the most extraordinary aquariums and pools anywhere in the world. The best way to experience Atlantis is by far on a yacht in their private marina. The marina is located in the center of it all with the casino, water park, dinning and shops all located within steps of your boat. Nassau is the most populated island in the Bahamas by a long shot and therefore has a more city feel than any other island in the region. Most of what it has to offer can be done on land, however there are some nice nautical adventures as well.
If you are looking for a more adult only vacation we recommend the Cove at Paradise Island. It is secluded from the rest of the resort and you can enjoy a more quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. There are also great beach houses at the Cove that provide a great base of operations for refreshments and genuine peace and quiet by the ocean.
We like heading off the east tip of the main island where several small islands can be found that offer great swimming and diving opportunities. Once done playing in the water there is a little known party at an outdoor restaurant called Rose Island. They have some great burgers and a party atmosphere in an otherwise desolate area.
